CORE is an innovative device unlike anything previously available on the market. Striking in its simplicity yet profound in its impact, it occupies a crucial place in the signal chain, enabling sonic qualities reminiscent of the finest audio hardware, from the golden 1970s and 1980s era.

At the heart of CORE lie custom-designed transformers, responsible for imparting a distinct warmth and cohesion to the sound. Their behaviour introduces a pleasing “glueing” effect, while the presence of even-order harmonics adds saturation, richness, and a sense of fullness. The output character depends entirely on how hard the unit is being driven. With higher input levels, CORE can deliver heavily colored, harmonically dense distortion ideal for sound design or sample creation. At moderate drive, it produces a saturated, warm, organically glued tone. And at subtle levels, it gently enhances the signal with delicate harmonics presence, giving the audio a renewed sense of depth and spatial placement without dominating over the original material. In every operating scenario, the degree of saturation is precisely monitored by the internal circuitry, ensuring the effect remains controlled, musical, and never excessive. Because CORE is an actively powered device, there is no risk of insufficient drive current for the transformer’s inductive load - an issue often encountered with passive solutions. Instead, a high-current driver stage inside ensures the transformers are always driven properly. As a result, CORE can integrate seamlessly with virtually any audio equipment capable of delivering either balanced or unbalanced signals, while the output is fully balanced. One of the side panels includes two status LEDs: a green indicator for power, and a red indicator showing the intensity of harmonic enhancement and transformer saturation.

In its standard configuration, CORE operates with true galvanic isolation between the transformer windings, similar to a premium DI box - effectively eliminating ground loops and related artifacts. Upon request, it can be supplied in a ground-referenced configuration with a fixed chassis ground. Every unit ships with a universal wall-wart type power supply that supports a wide range of AC mains standards worldwide, ensuring effortless integration wherever it is used.
