ISOMax 3 HC was developed as the next evolution of its predecessor, the ISOMax 3 - a unit that quickly became highly sought-after, particularly within the DJ community. The “HC” designation stands for Horizontal Connectors, reflecting the most visible upgrade in this revision: a pair of RCA jacks positioned on the right side of the enclosure. This layout dramatically improves usability when pairing the isolator with a dedicated mixer or other equipment, as rear-mounted connectors would make it virtually impossible to place the device directly in front of such gear.

Electronically, the internal architecture remains intentionally familiar. The HC version employs the same filter topology (24 dB/oct with added slope profiler to achieve a character reminiscent of 36 dB/oct), the same high-end components, illuminated knobs, and identical external dimensions. However, one notable enhancement is the use of detented potentiometers. Each control knob features a tactile notch at the “0” position, ensuring that during fast, expressive movements - common in DJ performances - it naturally goes back to true center when brought near it. This allows the isolator to be operated confidently by feel alone, without relying on visual cues.
